I am a postdoctoral scholar in Dr Amber Smith's lab at the University of Tennessee Health Science Centre, studying cytokine dynamics during influenza infection. My area of expertise is in dynamical systems and their many applications in modelling biological systems. I have a particular interest in working alongside biological experts to assist in experimental design, and testing biological hypotheses and management strategies with mathematical modelling.
I completed my PhD, using mathematical analysis to study dynamic properties of cellular signalling networks and ecological systems, at Dr Robyn Araujo and Professor Michael Bode. I graduated from a Bachelor of Mathematics in 2017 and then a Master of Philosophy in 2019, both at Queensland University of Technology. During my time here, I have been a passionate tutor with over 450 hours in the classroom, and a multitude of experience in creating teaching content. As part of the university community I have been an active member in the Applied Mathematics and Ecology Group, Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, and QUT's Centre for the Environment.
